Tribute & Message From The Family

Ann Eleanor Greene Young, 75, passed away at her home in Pendleton, SC on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

Ann was born in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Maxson and Eulalie Cook Greene. She was a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH and earned her Master's Degree from Northern Michigan University. The most important thing in her life was her family. Ann loved being a stay at home mom to her three daughters while the children were young in Houghton, MI. In 1987, the family moved to Clemson where she worked part-time as an educator at Tri-County Technical College and AnMed Health, among other education positions in the area. Ann's kindness, warm smile and good humor followed her throughout her life. She was a lover of animals, who always treated her dogs like family. She loved gardening and was an artist, having a number of works of art on display in Pendleton.

Surviving are daughters, Molly Young of Great Mills, MD, Sarah (David) Sherwin of Newtown, PA and Kelsey (Joshua)Roberts of Royersford, PA; brother, Colin Greene of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Rose Young, Nathan Sherwin, Anna Sherwin, Cash Roberts and Neely Roberts; and one great grandson,
Devin Young.

The family will have a private memorial service and time of remembrance at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) chapter of your choice.

Condolence & Memory Journal

At this time of great loss to the Young family, I extend to you my deepest sympathy. I was a volunteer at the Anderson County Museum where Ann served as educator and volunteer supervisor. I was originally from Maryland, and Ann kept me up to date on Maryland news through Molly whom I met when she came to South Carolina. May God grant you peace and comfort during this time sad time in your lives.
