Tribute & Message From The Family
Phillip Douglas Schmidt, 64, husband of Debra Sutton Schmidt of Easley passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 1, 2021. He was born in Ft. Rucker, Alabama September 21, 1956, a son of Donald and Constance Pepcheck Schmidt.
Phil proudly received a Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University. He loved Clemson football and Syracuse basketball. But above all he loved spending time with his family.
Phil is survived by his wife, Debi; two sons, Brian of Easley and Kevin, his wife, Marie, and their two sons, Hampton and Jacob all of Central; a daughter, Katie Moore, her husband, Jeremy, and a "soon to be" granddaughter, Sutton all of Easley; four siblings, David, Gregory, Christopher and Claudia; his mother, Constance; father-in-law, Harry Sutton; sister-in-law, Carolyn Harper-Capestro; and niece, Kelly, her husband, Kyle and their son, Thomas. Phil was preceded in death by his father, Donald.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, June 6 at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd., Central. The family will receive friends after the service.

My thoughts and prayers are with Phil's family. I will miss Phil, enjoyed working with him at Dixie Tire. Phil loved sharing pictures and talking about his grandchildren.
