Tribute & Message From The Family

John Joseph (Jack) Bohachic, Jr., 78, of Clemson, SC passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Regency Hospital in Greenville, SC after a long illness.

Jack was born December 1, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA. In high school, Jack moved with his family to Dillon, SC. After high school, Jack joined the United States Air Force. Upon his return to Dillon, Jack helped run the family business before working for and retiring from the United States Postal Service after 30 years.

Jack was a dedicated member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. In his younger years, Jack enjoyed fishing, golfing and shag dancing. Jack was passionate about serving his community as a volunteer fireman and as a member of the Dillon Rescue Squad.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John Joseph Sr. and Olga Bohachic of Dillon and 2 sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) Grimsley of Dillon and Barbara Cambest of Pittsburgh, PA. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Madge Moody Bohachic of Clemson, SC; Brother James Bohachic (Patricia) of Dillon; 2 daughters Audrey Barrett (Dave) of Johns Creek, GA and Emily Bobbitt (Michael) of Greenville and 5 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 PM, Sunday, August 8, 2021 in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, SC 29630. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 1 PM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the Memory of John (Jack) Bohachic to, St. Louis Catholic Church, 301 E Jackson Street, Dillon SC 29536 or to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

Jack was a member of the Dillon High School Class of 1960--a group that has stayed close to each other through the years and been saddened to hear of his illness and death. We all hope that Madge, Barbara, and Audrey will feel our sympathy.

Dearest Madge, Audrey, and Emily, I am saddened by the news of Jack's passing. I know that it has been quite some time since we have seen all of you, but fond memories from Dillon I have of Jack and all of you during my time there.
