I am so sorry that you have lost Phil. My wife Evanne just told me the heartbreaking news. Unfortunately, I hadn't seen Phil in a long time, but you've been such an important and positive part of my life here at Clemson. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

June - I had the pleasure of working with Phil for a bit at Clemson before his retirement and then with you. I had a great deal of respect for him (and still do for you). He listened and would look for a solution to problems that worked for all parties. It was an honor to work with you both. My thoughts and prayers with you and your family during this difficult time. May fond memories being some smiles to your sad heart.

June, Phil was a wonderful person. We enjoyed working with him in Risk Management and always appreciated his strong safety knowledge and the way he assisted Clemson University employees. He had a kind heart and a happy spirit. We will miss him. - Linda J. Rice

Phil sold me a beefed-up scooter and then taught me to operate it (it's how I got my motorcycle license), for absolutely no reason except his generous spirit. What a great guy and sad news. I remember him speaking with great love for his son. Best wishes to his family.

June and family, I am heartbroken for you all. Mr. Phil was absolutely my favorite volunteer. He was always upbeat, helpful, happy and willing to care for others- putting everyone before himself to bring joy to others. I will pray for peace and wonderful memories of Pee Paw! Lorrie Jones
